Whats the deal there?...

They are the gayest thing I have ever seen on a message board :?

half the time, ppls posts are cut off and there is no scroll, the rest of the time, it's a pain in the arse!!!

OR am I the only one that seems to have "inner post scrolls"? and how do I foik em off!??

Mate I've started getting them too. And I agree, they are fully shithouse. I quoted a message in the Raiders forum just before and you can't even see my reply cos there's some little mini-scroll box in my post meaning you have to scroll it down to see my work. Who's gonna bother doing that? I want the people to see my work!

If you've been using phpBB for a while, you've probably seen some topics that have
fallen victim to thread stretching. A post in the topic contains some content -
perhaps an image, a long line of text, or a code block - that causes the page to
widen beyond your browser's viewport. A horizontal scrollbar is added to your
screen, and you have to scroll the page to read most of the posts.

No Thread Stretch is a solution for this problem. Using a combination of JavaScript
and Cascading Style Sheets, it will cause the posts that would stretch a thread to
appear with scrollbars added to the post. Your page remains the same size, so
scrolling to read a message is only needed for the offending message itself.

No Thread Stretch may not work on all browsers or if a user has JavaScript disabled.
A list of browsers tested is available in the topic used during development:

Problem is if you have a left hand nav bar enabled (search, favourites, history etc) or your browser isn't maximised 100% then a scrollbar will appear across the bottom of the screen because you are now viewing the forum as a fixed width.

No mate, he is talking about the vertical scroll bars now appearing in individual posts. Bloody annoying if you ask me. On a few occasions I haven't been able to read posts because the scroll bar hasn't appeared. In my browser this forum is falling apart.

And what do you know, it hasn't worked on that reply, unless I highlight the one line of text I can see and drag down. And still, I can only see one line at a time.

NO!!! You've got it wrong mate...
I am sure I wrote more than one line about this also, ands explained myself VERY clearly, but I now seem to have a one line post making me look like a fool again. SO, to get you to understand what I'm talking about, and as your sig states, "why is THIS SO?!!!" This is how I see your 2 posts here...

Aries. Try upgrading your operating system.
Windows 3.1 really isn't very good.

OK, if you upgrade your brain to a 10 year olds :p

To the ppl that matter, ie: those that can possibly fix the problem, I have put this up in the "Forum issues" forum...

I have explain alot of stuff there, but I will say here that I am looking at this with IE6 now. It is far better, but I still do see the odd "Inner Post Scroll" still...

I really don't see what your problem is. I misunderstood what you were talking about because your pea sized brain forgot to mention the word VERTICAL.

Now that I know what you are talking about I can fix the problem.

Is that better?

Yes thanx, much better :D

Even though a "narrow minded brain" that was on the wrong track and that follows Canberra, managed to fix it :p

I think you could have left out the "pea sized brain" part mate, I didn't abuse you when asking the question, and a few others mentioned the "vertical" issue after anyway and even if it was vertical or horizontal, I specifically mentioned it was "INNER POST" not at the bottom of the page as you suggested...

But thanx anyway, problem solved 8)

FFS you abuse me and now you claim you didn't....

Where did others mention vertical?

Pea size was very appropriate... and please remember when you edit an abusive post so it doesn't sound as bad as it did I can tell that was done.
