Ill occasionally put one on but only the dogs or red hots because ive got no real interest in either code.Over the years ive jagged a cople of nice exactas but never the tri.I like the idea of the "combo" tickets the TAB has for the Melb Cup for a small punter.

One day i just put 3ups on whilst having a few beers.
Just got a few little winners, and the last one i got the winner and exacta and collect about $70. But haven't put one on since.

this whole statement contradicts itself

if they put the red hot fav in for 1st that much then they would be losing money. guaranteed. it means the punter already has a slight advantage as they've already got first. a roughie comes second and third and the exacta/tri will pay $20 and $150

if anything, the tab would have a roughie as the top pick because then the odds of an actual collect would be upwards of 90% less than the hot fav being the top pick

PS. for the record, i hate the 3 ups

PPS. my mate and me had beers last night and put a 3 up on at melb dogs. we got first and it paid $21.40 for the win. still wont be touching them
