Of for crying out lout you wanna talk about achievements I'm talking about ever cutting it in the NRL? Ffs Ben hunt has a NRL premiership ring where the f**k is he? Robson didn't even win the GF.

Why don't you talk about his most recent achievement...steering the eels to 2nd last...now that is an achievement

I think you mean Shane Perry?

Good player shane, had plenty of injury concerns. Not sure if hes trying to get a gig in the NRL still, seeing he is thirty pharken seven years old now.

I thought perry was a good player & was a perfect foil for a 5/8 that dominated. he debuted as a 28 year old then won a premeirship. Injuries & age forced him out of the Broncos after that.
Robson, despite what the lunatics on here say, is a very capable player.
I am happy we will be starting the season with him at half & not rookies.

Shane Perry debuted for Wests Magpies in 99.

Surely Perry is the worst halfabck to have ever won a comp.

Ur theory might work if we had D Lockyer playing 6 for us reefs, not sure Robson is a good foil for our 5/8.

This thread is starting to sound like kids at school arguing who has the best footy cards.

Oh and Jeff Robson played in a Grand Final in 2009 so he must be good....

And to think Parra just let him go.......

And that the other half of that Grand Final has been relegated to NSW Cup as well...

Robson is a depth signing - nothing more.

Halfbacks like Robson and Perry have a place when playing alongside a 5/8 in red hot form.

Look at Peter Wallace, the bloke is very average whenever he doesn't have Lockyer next to him. But he does his job for the team.

The Chad needs a year or two in NSW cup. That is not the end of the world. Look at NFL in the States, rookies are normally 22 or 23 when they are drafter and spend the first year or two as back ups normally. They don't think a kids career is over because he doesnt crack it and become a star at 20.

In fact I wish we could send him up to the QLD cup for a year to learn his trade and develop as a better player.

U20's to playing against men is a massive step up. Anyone who has played in u18 or u19 comps and then made the step up to grade football would know how much harder and more physical men are compared to relative boys of the same age.

Back on topic, Tony Williams would not have me jumping for joy as the player to solve our centre issues. But would love to be completely wrong.
