On my travels I was able to watch the Eels play the Titans in Czech Republic and The Bulldogs in Holland.

Will be watching in London on ESPN

This isnt relevant but there when I was in France last year they showed the AFL grand final on delay on Eurosport.

Global TV coverage of NRL GF confirmed

The NRL have announced that Australian troops in Afghanistan will join Rugby League fans in more than 55 countries to watch the 2009 Telstra Premiership Grand Final between Melbourne and Parramatta.
Forcesl based at Tarin Kowt and Kandahar will tune in to a special satellite feed of the game, joining other Australian troops in Honiara (Solomon Islands) and Dili (East Timor) among a world-wide viewing audience across the United Kingdom, USA, Canada, Asia and the Pacific.
Host broadcaster the Nine Network will televise the Telstra Premiership Grand Final live into every Australian state while New Zealand viewers will see the Nine Network's entire match-day coverage live through Sky New Zealand.
As previously confirmed on rugbyleague.com, ESPN will broadcast the game live into the United Kingdom and Ireland while US cable giant Spike TV will carry a delayed coverage of the NRL Grand Final into the USA and Canada.
Fox Sports Middle East will show the game live with nations such as Bahrain, Qatar, Syria, Yemen, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the UAE able to access the telecast from 10am KSA time.
The Australia Network will take the NRL Grand Final live across a satellite footprint that includes Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and the Pacific Islands.
"Each year the audience for the Grand Final continues to grow and this season there is an opportunity for Rugby League fans all over the world to watch or listen to the game live on TV, radio or on NRL.com," NRL Chief Executive, David Gallop said.

Not sure about Europe now that Setanta has gone broke, as previously you could watch it on Setanta in any old Irish pub. I'm not sure if they would get the UK version of ESPN, so backpackers in Europe may be out of luck. I'll be watching at the Temple Walkabout in London, which opens at 6.30am. I wish they had kept the night kick-off not this early evening crap.

ESPN is picked up around irish bars/aussie bars around europe just as setanta has been

have fun at temple, giving it a miss as I just got a new plasma here in the house! let us know how many turned up.
