International wear to create International Awareness !

For all of us lovers of the games international presence perhaps we should show our ‘true colours’ and wear some International RL gear to create conversations and maybe educate a few people who may not know about League outside the NRL and Origin !

In honour of their surprise victory I’ll be donning the Irish jersey and maybe ‘accessorise’ with the Jacksonville Axeman cap !!!

If nothing else it helps identify fellow Internationalists as i found out when i saw a guy wearing Czech Rugby League t-shirt at the Phillipnes v Latin Heat game earlier this year.

Ended up having a good yarn with him as he was involved with the CRL.



Still keen to have a SEQ / Northern NSW gathering of we like minded internationalists one day !

Forgot to mention i'll be at Suncorp on Saturday arvo / eve ! Probably having an ale beforehand at the Caxton

Great idea, I think I'd be the only one wearing a jersey that wasn't a Kangaroos Jersey in Canberra lol

Just wanted to mention that the 'wear for awareness' experiment worked ! Number of people asked about the Irish jersey and i was then able to update them on the European games happening at the moment.


As an aside it was good to see a large number of Samoan jerseys / merchandise around the place. Lots of ARL polo shirts as well.

Saw a guy walking around in a Catalans shirt in Newcastle on the weekend, was good to see!
