Inu accepts he may no longer be an Eel

Parramatta centre Krisnan Inu appears resigned to the fact he won't be at the NRL club next season.
Last week Eels boss Paul Osborne said all contract negotiations would be put on hold until the side produced good form on the field.
The Eels currently sit in equal last place on the NRL ladder with one win from five games.
Inu is one of several players, including Feleti Mateo, Eric Grothe and Kris Keating who are off contract at the end of the season although Keating is reportedly set to re-sign in the next couple of weeks.
The softly spoken Kiwi international said he had still not heard anything from the Eels but if he was not offered a contract he was content to move on.
"Whatever's done off the field then that's (what) happens," Inu said.
"Football's a business these days so whatever happens, happens."
The Warriors have publicly expressed their interest in Inu and have confirmed they have contacted his agent David Riolo.
Inu comes into the Eels starting side to face the Rabbitohs this weekend, with centre Joel Reddy suspended.
Facing their fourth consecutive loss, it would be easy to excuse Parramatta for being frustrated and down on morale.
Young playmaker Daniel Mortimer said he makes no secret that the past three losses have been frustrating but stresses it hasn't affected the team.
"After the game of course we're frustrated but then come Monday it's heads on for the next week," Mortimer said.
"We don't carry it through the week."
The 20-year-old said after playing some brilliant football last season, the side probably expected things to go easy for them this season.
"We got a bit of a shock the first couple of rounds and know now we have to really work for it," he said.
"Although that's not necessarily a bad position to be in."

Sorry Kris but I'd rather spend your contract $$ on a decent young pig who can bend the line.

yep! it pains me to say it but life does go on and we need to concentrate in areas that are hurting us and that's upfront.

he's been one of our better players so far this year, yet another one we let go who will go onto bigger and better things because we seem to make far too many of these bad decisions

the kid is what 22 years old, worth about 175K or there abouts, we wont get better value than that with his $$$$$ imo

and whats Reddy worth ?

I take it INU is playing right centre on sunday? bit of a shame really because it means he won't be up against Beau Champion, that would of been a real guage on where his form is currently at, saying that Colin Best will be a challenge.

Have you heard anyhting bout this eelsta?
Is it looking likely that he will be else where next year?

Really sad, i have always liked Inu even when he was down on form.
He will be a great positive for whatever club picks him up for next year.

Its funny, I didn't think we would be saying this this year....

well we lost one of our major signings for the season, our most creative backrower just isn't cutting it and 2 of the clubs greatest ever players are a year older and unfortunately showing it.

We need a Glenn Morrison or 2 from somewhere that can really help these guys out.

funny thing is, we may not need to look very far and pay that much when you consider what Bronson Harrison is doing for Canberra or Zeb Taia for Newcastle.

I thought the days of personal feelings influencing recruitment/retention policy were over with the departure of Hagen. Seems the more things change the more they stay the same. :(

Only a wing spot, that could be filled by Jono Wright, Etu, Tim Mortimer, Lasalo or Dom Nasso, who have all been pretty damn good for Wenty

Jono Wright contract is up next year as well. If I was On the Board I would Sign Inu for less Money, Sign Jono Wright as Burt and Tahu both won't be there after three years. I see Inu Replacing Burt and Jono Replacing Tahu.

there's a couple of handy outside backs in NYC that I think can possibly do a better job than those blokes they are Ken Sio and Rory Brien.

btw, if there ever comes a time when a bloke like Nasso first grade than we've got serious issues.
