only saw a bit but I taped it and will watch tonight.

I don't know much about the music industry but during the show at one stage they did 600 shows in 2 years. is this normal? including travel that is insane

I thought it was good. I was expecting that it would just be the Michael Hutchence show, but it was a good focus on the band as a whole.

I was pretty amazed at the lengths that the manager had to go to, to get Kick off the ground.

It smashed 9's piece of shit production as it should have.

I'm not even a big INXS fan but I know all of their songs, part two should be good.

Yeah I didn't think the Corby story would draw as much attention as they thought it would. We've been force-fed the Corby saga for 10 years and everyone knows what happened.
Plus the Corby family didn't want any involvement so there was hardly going to be anything we didn't already know.

Apparently the decision to air it on Sunday night was only made on Friday to take advantage of the hype surrounding her release. Thoroughly smashed in the ratings......Good work 9!

The same astute programming decisions that they take with RL all the time haha.

Gotta say casting Luke Arnold was perfect, not only does he look like Hutchence but has the acting chops to pull it off - no surprise he's doing well over the US.

Not sure if the final part will end with Hutchences death or continue on to show INXS's path since.
Interesting to watch how they got big but I would've like to see a bit more depth of the music making side of it.

It highlights what happened to the pub scene when pokies were put in, all bands to make money used to play all over the place. Nowdays there are few opportunities for new bands to make a name for themselves.

Part 2 was pretty good. The whole thing was done very well.

Wouldn't mind watching it again one day without the 10,000 ads. Certainly took away from the scenes surrounding Michael's death.

It was. Last night was part 2.
Oh ok - I still thought it was going to be a bit longer though - like an 8 or 9 part series. The way channel 7 promoted it during the Australian Open made it sound like it was going to be big and what have you. I'm wondering if the promo paid off for them!

They pretty much doubled the viewing of 'Shapelle' the previous week, so I think the promotion did work.

Watched both shows.

It was very good. Im a fan of most of INXS songs and it was good to see a behind the scenes for all band members (mostly the Farriss brothers and Hutchence).

btw, was John Farris' ex-missus a famous American actress/singer? She seemed like a total b1tch in the movei.

That must be her.

He went through a lot during that period, loss of his mother, divorce, knee surgery and the death of Hutchence.

They'll be interviewing the 3 Farriss brothers plus Kirk on next Sunday Night program.

One of the only negatives I have is with the portrayal of Bono. That was terrible......sounded nothing like him.
