IP address using hotspot on iphone4

Don't know if anyone could help me ,but on another forum my IP address keeps coming up as the Syd region.
Yet I am sitting in a house 1000kms north on the Fraser coast..I am with Optus & there is a tower about 4kms away .
It is strange that it would say that ,so I was wondering if anyone would have any idea why.

& if one of the mods has any spare time can they check my ip .

& has anyone else had an issue like this.

There is something odd as your host does not come up as Optus.
