No disrespect to the Welsh but if the ABs win the grand slam and the award goes to Wales it'll be an absolute farce, as NZ will have beaten everybody that Wales have as well as hammering Wales themselves.

As for the player awards, Habana looks a clear frontrunner for young player of the year, but player of the year isn't as easy, again if the ABs win the slam it will pretty much have to be an All Black, but Carter had an ordinary 3N and missed a couple of games through injury, and Umaga will likely be snubbed over the BOD incident. I reckon Richie McCaw could take the honours.

I agree with you, but you only have to look at the past record of the IRB. They HATE any nations other than the 5 home nations and are loathe to help them out, which is why development of the game stagnates outside the top nations.
