The IRB world sevens circut kicked off last week end in Dubai the
australians sevens team for dubai and south africa

the australian team qualifed 4 the quaters were they lost 2 samoa 14-10 then d france 19-7 in the plate semi but lost to Argentina 40-10 in the plate final

In union why don't Australia ever put good players in the 7's side? I only know Scott Staniforth from that list. Is it a scheduling thing or something?

NZ does the same, few if any All Blacks play on the sevens circuit any more. They need an off-season like anyone else I guess.

Very rarely do unions put their best players in the 7s. Usually its the young and aspiring players that start in 7s.

7s seems to produce some really good players though. Muliana, Rocokoco and Brett Russell to name a few.

They don't even release Super 12 players like Hosea Gear who probably wont even play much Super 12. Our team lacks any pace. Guys like Gear, Koonwaiyou, Pedersen, Atiga and co should be released for the 7s.
