Yeah good on them, and I'm glad they picked up test status although it seems a few years too late as you say. Great to see test cricket getting attention during all IPL nonsense too.

They really need more cricket though after this, it's very disappointing how little ODI cricket they get compared to say Bangladesh since their inception. There's a lot of potential that got wasted, we didn't get to see the best of the likes of Joyce & KOB.

100? If they can somehow jag an extra 60, and the psychological barrier is 200, it’s an even money game. Especially considering that With Murtaugh and Rankin, Ireland have an extremely good new ball pair.

Sroked that KOB has the first Test hundred for Ireland, he's been a bit of a gun for them at times even if he's not as consistent as blokes like Joyce

Hopefully they can grab a draw or even somehow manage a win...they might be in for a lean start but having a genuine pathway to test cricket for Ireland will mean that the future Eoin Morgan and Boyd Rankin level guys stay home instead of opting to play for England.

Saw some highlights yesterday, good old Pakistan appealing for a caught behind when the bat was literally 4 feet from the bat.

O’Brien out without adding to his overnight score. Shame.

It's over, Pakistan get there 5 down but at 3/14 it was on.

Well done Ireland for a good first dig.

A lot of support for Ireland, I'd like to see them play out here maybe next winter but that would be too f**king hard for Sutherland to organise.

Congrats to them on their first test match.
