TotalRL.com sponsor Ireland's Origin

IRELAND'S Origin match takes place this Saturday in Belfast, with TotalRL.com sponsoring the Northern Ireland team.

The North versus South fixture at Malone RFC (5.00pm) marks the culmination of a series of games held in and around Belfast and Dublin over the last few months.

The Ulster Bowl Summer Series, which commenced with the Belfast 9’s on Saturday 31st May, has run through June and July.

It looks likely that Antrim Steelers, who have won all their games to date in the Summer Bowl, will take the title as Ulster champions for 2003.

The Origin match will be the first of its kind in Belfast, and is the highlight of a weekend-long series of events aimed at promoting Rugby League in the area, including Belfast Broncos and Belfast City Council jointly hosting a club level coaching course.

who won gav ?
any details?

go south !!

Northern Ireland beat the Irish Republic 38 - 24.

After their win, the governing body Rugby League Ulster were asking for official recognition from the Northern Ireland Sports Council. The NISC recognises Scottish Highland Dancing yet doesn't recognise Rugby League - bizzare!
