Just thinking out loud here, is it a possibility that we could get an injunction on his suspension, therefore allowing him to play until the cas eis heard?

Sorry I should have stated that this would be through the courts not the judiciary of course.

Surely there is someone who has a legal background who can give an opinion on this ?

why cant saints take this to the civil courts
i cant see the nrl granting an injunction against itself.
if saints win this battle, i reckon hall and company should be sued in a civil court of law.

I don't know but I would be very surprised if the NRL didn't already have this one covered in the player's contracts. They probably waive any such rights when signing the standard contract.
It would have to an almighty powerful case which would prove the existence of corruption and bias in the NRL judicial system and that seems like a tall order.
I'll think you'll find that the Judiciary and it's panel of 4 are all powerful.

The player does have the right to appeal and Peter Doust says that a decision on a possible appeal will be made on Monday.
Now here's an interesting thought: If Smith does have better luck than Buckley and actually wins the appeal, does that mean he can then sue the Judiciary for missing out on a game?
