Ben suffered from a recurring dislocation of his shoulder and collarbone last season. Basically, every time he falls on his elbows in a tackle his shoulder pops out. Ben struggled through the finals series last year and spent just about the whole off season working on developing his shoulder muscles to help counter the strecthed and weakened muscles around his joints.
In his second game this season he fell on his elbows in the very first tackle of the game and suffered a partial dislocation. He needed a painkilling injection to finish the game and has had a lot of pain ever since.
I think the best way the knights could use Kennedy this season is to keep him in training but not play him till the finals series, and I think this is his last season, although he has another year on his contract.
A great player with a tiny 'achilles heel' bringing him down.
