Is History Repeating itself

Is this history repeating it self??
Correct me if I’m wrong isn’t this the same way things progressed with our President cup and Reserve Grade sides the years Stuart won the titles with them?? Slow start to the season then the combinations started to gel about half way though the season, being able to win the close games and the young guys in the side having confidence and belief in themselves and having key personnel out injured didn’t stop the side from winning games.
Even if I am wrong this is what’s happening now and its looking good for the rest of the year.

Didn't the President's Cup team of 1994 lose only one game all year though? :?

Talk to us about this in a month. If we can snag two out of the next four we might be closer to discussing new eras.

no doubt we'll miss peach and noddy but things are looking much better. i remember two years back the roosters didn't really click into gear until about round 20 or so - but to be brutally honest i think next year is a more realistic proposition for us.

at least stu raper will go into the play-offs with a history and expectation of succes - something to do with a 'winning culture' ;-)

Assuming we make the play-offs.

We've got the worst for and against and probably the toughest road in. The only guaranteed two points is the bye we have left. Those early losses to the Cowboys and Rabbitohs are going to cost us.

That said, we've beaten the Broncos, Eels, Manly and Newcastle all away from home and that is a good sign that we can win the tough matches. This weekend against the Doggies without Peach and Noddy is going to be a big ask. Even if we make the semis, it's only going to be 7th or 8th spot and we'd face the Rorters or the Doggies away in the first week. The odds of progressing to Week 2 are pretty slim. But then again, we make the semis, it's only four wins away from a Premiership. Sounds easy when you say it that way.

So long as we beat the Dragqueens in a couple of weeks, I'll be happy.

correct.
although we did lose to the tigers, bulldogs, souths, and cowboys we won against big odds vs raiders, knights, broncos and melbourn and in tight matches vs parramatter and manly where our opposition looked just as good as us if not better.

WIth the teams that have won tonight (not saying to spoil it) this game against the Dogs is beginning to look like a must win for us. If we dont, our position on the ladder next week wont look to good.

We have NEVER repeat NEVER won against Melbourne, Newcastle and Brisbane AWAY from home in a year. So we are doing something right.
However this is certainly a huge test this weekend. And we need to keep winning now, or risk our 8th position.
