Yes

Not because there's anything wrong with Mad Monday....just because it's high time we put a stop to the same tired old "put on an absolutely not funny/potentially indecent costume and rock up to the pub (possibly with balls out) at 9am to commence 18 hours of drinking" schtick.

They can be reinstated when one of these smooth brains has an original thought about how to spend it!

I think so, these dudes take this thing up to 11 on mad monday when the reality if they're out on the piss carrying like dickheads every other weekend of the year, just as virtually everyone else their age is too

the premise behind mad monday is essentially a chance at the end of a very hard year of work, of blood, sweat and sacrifice, to FINALLY let the hair down and have the good time they've been missing out on all season long...

Except they dont miss out on shit! They're out there having a banger time like everyone else. Just treat it like any other weekend, go out, get pissed, try and pull a girl if thats your deal, dont break any rules and do it all again next week... the f**k do they need "Mad Monday" as excuse to get shit faced?

Dressing up like a moron and getting smashed is so today. They should also flush the heads of all new year 7 students down the toilet, allowing smoking in pubs, bring back cracker night and be able to ridicule people on TV like they did with Kamal on Hey Hey it's Saturday. Also bring back the Paul Hogan Show.

All good fun and relevant in a modern society.

There are how many hundreds of players in the league? How many of them do stupid things on a Mad Monday? Now what percentage of the general population also does something stupid on any given day?

One of the stupidest annual beat ups. Whether it is given an official name or not, blokes will still get drunk the days after the end of the season.

Mad Monday is a term the media use. It's a post-season pissup. If they do it out of the glare of the media, do it legally, who gives a f**k? The issues are around the media trying to make issues of it (apart obviously for when players do really dumb stuff in full view of the public).

Why weren't post-season pissups an issue before the 2000s or so? Because the media stayed the f**k away from it. It's hilarious how the media go 'oooh oh my goodness look at their bad behaviour' when they're the one trying to find it and target it.

problem is if they don’t feed the media enough info they will sabotage the event. Look at the Dogs a few years back. They told the telegraph the wrong place so the telegraph found out where the event was and had photographers in trees to get something.

Always a bore hearing about it. You can't end something that doesn't really exist.

The Dragons should consider Treacherous Tuesday to throw the media off guard and escape the spotlight.
