Reports suggesting he'll be benched for Colt McCoy... hard to see how this isnt the end for Griffin in Washington.

A good article by Bill Barnwell regarding where this might all end up, written before we knew of his benching

How do you guys see this? Good move? Bad move? And what does future hold for RG3.

I think if the owner is going to make a call between RG3 and Gruden, id pick RG3 every day of the week. Gruden is really out of his depth as a HC and i think the Skins would be better off keeping Griffin, sacking Gruden and getting a coach who is willing to work with RG3 and putting in a system that is suited to his skills

The Redskins gave up too much to get this guy, to give up on him now, least of all in favour of Jay Gruden

Griffins career as a Redskin is over. Which leads to this question, who will be their long term QB? Cousins has been ordinary this season and McCoy, well I don't see him being the answer.

But back to Griifin. Had a great first season, but when his running game was taken away and he was asked to be more of a passing qb his game suffered. Injuries haven't helped, but I think attitude has been a big factor in his fall.

Some team will give him a shot.

Skins give up their future to get the #2 pick.
Shanahans court him, and reportedly get him a playbook before the draft.
This playbook is heavy read option based. It is for RG3.
RG3 'changes' the QB position by doing what he does well.... plays football his way.
He gets hurt.
He gets told not to run.
He gets told not to extend plays.
He gets told to get out of bounds.
He gets told to stay in the pocket longer and move less.
Skins are knocked out in the playoffs after an NFCE title.
RG3 goes into rehab and is back before the 1st game.
RG3 is a pocket QB.
RG3 is a bad pocket QB.
Questions asked in the media, RG3 wants to play read option, Shanahans have to protect him. They want him in the pocket.
RG3 is a bad pocket QB.
RG3 is benched, owner sides with QB.
New coach bought in.
RG3 is a pocket QB.....

I see the problem.

The Eagles for mine.... As soon as I heard he got dropped I thought he would be a decent shot at Philly.

Just at first glance... chips zone read offence seems perfect for RG3...

What do you reckon nick??

I think RG3 is a bit of a problem child, chip is big on culture
"Culture beats scheme"

I can't see us giving up anything to get him, but if the man is Cut, I would expect chip to be interested, so long as he brought into what's happening in Philly, he is the type of player Chip would love to take a shot at

Well if Washington are keen... They could always trade 2 first rounders and a second rounder with the Raiders to get Mariota....

Just sayin... It is an option....

If your the Rams...

Surely you put in a real low offer like a 6th rounder....

Not with any intention of getting him... Just to reinforce to them that they won that trade....

Long live Dan Snyder.
Long live Jay Gruden.
Long live Bruce Allen.
And (especially) long live Jerry Jones.

Seriously though, this whole debacle has confirmed what everyone thought, Jay Gruden is not an NFL head coach.

The Giants could have a new head coach next season. They may also need a new QB to go with him. Mannings time in NY in my opinion is passed.

Actually I see Griifin a more likely chance for the Giants then I do for the Eagles. Though in saying that would the Redskins want to trade him to a team within their own division.

I suspect the Redskins will get a trade deal done with some team. Just might not get much in return for him.
