Is Witt good enough?

After watching last night's game, I got thinking
does M.Witt have what it takes to be a creative & organising half back.\

Last night Head was absolutely killing it, is there any chance Witt could be doing the same next year.

IMO Witt is good but I am doubtful if he will ever be mentioned as a top half.

Dykes is the most creative player we have and he is going.... even though we've signed some good players, untill we find a decent half I fear for our chances next year.

Your kidding yourself with that comment on Head.

WOW he plays a good game last night, why don't we flash back to the month before last night when most dragons fans were calling for him to be dropped and nearly hanging themselves for keeping him over Firman.

mate i would take head over firman any day. I would go onto say that atm he is among the top 4 halfs.

as would I, but certainly not Mathew Head. :p

Firman was the Dally M Rookie of the year last year, everyone always assumes it was Billy Slater but not only was Firman a certainty to win rookie of the year, but I think he was also 2nd or 3rd in the Dally M Player of the year.

If he is good when it matters he is good. I would love to see Witt show the form and confidence he played with last year. He knew what to do and when to do it. he also wasnt scared to take a risk or try something different. Witt is good enough. Its not who is coaching him it is all up to Witt to try and find what made him play with the confidence he had last season.

eh?

Witt will be a good halfback if he doesn't get screwed around in the off season and end up on the bench of PL in Round 2  He's 20 y.o. and still developing.

I don't believe Witt has got what it takes but what I will say is I feel sorry for the Poor bastard as he has to work under Smith.

Witt will be good enough on one condition...if he is to play halfback then he has to train at halfback play the trials at halfback and during the off season again train at halfback its no use if he's playing 5/8!!!

Its like Hindy said he has to yell at the forwards because right now he's not! He was thrown in when we were playing crap and needed a boost. and (not sure which round) in Big League he actually said 'its hard to come in, in the middle of the season and order the big boys around when there in a form slump' (something along the lines of that).

Maybe he's having second yr syndrome maybe not who knows?
but if he is given a real chance and a full offseason I'm pretty sure he will show us the form he had last yr and reward everyone for there patience...just give him time! (doesnt matter now because seasons gone)

I don't think he's good enough YET.

However last year in his first year he did more than I've seen Head do this year.

Plus Witty has the talent. He has a great kicking game, he has a good passing game and his running game is coming along well too.

Just play him at halfback with a decent 5/8 inside him and LEAVE that combination to gel.

If the forwards go forward, soon Witt will be confident and will play well.
