considering the amount of injuries and problems things could be alot worse. look at the players weve got out at the moment: Vaeliki, Lyon, Grothe, Dykes, Cannings, Peek, Cayless, Prince, Muckert, Hopkins being out for most of the season & same to Pearson has obviously had an effect on the way we have been playing.

You can also consider the players that are eligible for JF who are playing first grade: Jack Afa, Brett Anderson, Ash Graham, Feliti Mateo(soon), and Michael Witt.

IT could be a whole lot better but it isnt. we had chances to capitalise the traffic from 6th-12th. But we didnt.

Don't start blaming injuries. Every club has 'em. Besides, BS bought big and ugly forwards to add depth and muscle. Sure we have lost Cannings and Cayless, but Stapleton, Afasamaga, Tsoulos and to a lesser extent have steped up. Muckert and pearson have recovered from injury. Vella and Wagon are in fine form, as are Morris and Hindy.

Taint injuries that are keeping us down.

Its deadset our halves we need to get a combination which we see out the remainder of the season. Look at Roosters, Bulldogs all with stable combinations. They knew what they wanted before the season started and thier persistnaace paid off.

Smith has never let our halves settle - The balls ups with Thorman, Dykes and Morris v Melbourne and Saints started our dive from the top 8.

Another reason why Smith should go - he can't coach halves.

Name another team with the number and calibre of the players we have out, and see how that team is going.

it may not be the ONLY reason, but its definitely up there with being the major cause.

i agree, it would definitely help if he did stick with the same combination. however, he didnt injure dykes, or get witt suspened.

see my point?

i do agree with you that hes not the best halves coach, but maybe JT could be doing a little more? offering his years of experience and insight.

No, but he HAS chosen who were going to be our halves combinations for the past 8 years, and NOT ONE of them has been the same.

see my point?

yeh i do see it.

thats why i said i agree to start my post.

i was merely offering a different angle on things. unfortunately a lot of people are like sheep on this board, dont think for themselves. it amazing how quickly the general concensus on some 'hot' topics can swing in a matter of weeks. a few new opinions are offered and some people change their tune pretty quickly.

Voltgun, ;-)

I suppose its the tune changers that annoy me most about this board.
And they can change in a matter of days, rather than weeks.
And you got the sheep bit right.

Sadly, the electorate is the same. Give everybody with a kid $600 and most of them will vote for you.
Have a baby, and $3000 is yours.
The con job of the decade.
