"God Save The Queen"

God save the queen
The fascist regime
They made you a moron
Potential H-bomb

God save the queen
She ain't no human being
There is no future
In England's dreaming

Don't be told what you want
Don't be told what you need
There's no future, no future,
No future for you

God save the queen
We mean it man
We love our queen
God saves

God save the queen
'Cause tourists are money
And our figurehead
Is not what she seems

Oh God save history
God save your mad parade
Oh Lord God have mercy
All crimes are paid

When there's no future
How can there be sin
We're the flowers in the dustbin
We're the poison in your human machine
We're the future, you're future

God save the queen
We mean it man
We love our queen
God saves

God save the queen
We mean it man
And there is no future
In England's dreaming

No future, no future,
No future for you
No future, no future,
No future for me

No future, no future,
No future for you
No future, no future
For you

LOOK ABOVE ^^^ Do you really think that is anti-British ? I dont, and its also not worth being stabbed over. Humans are just so stupid ... Mr Lydon is a legend and Judge Judy thinks the same as well :)

p.s yes its closer to 30+ years ... i got carried away :)

I was going to say it's about 30 years...

Mild lyrics for today, but enough I'd imagine to cause a stir in Britain at the time.

yeah its 30 years OVP

The stir it caused was incredible. Watch the doco "The filth and the Fury" - excellent and shows what it was like.

My favourite Johnny rotten moment was when he did the press conference for the filthy lucre tour. When the question was raised of what got you back together he replies " We found a common interest....your money!"

You cant buy honesty like that.

Also, the live at longhorns concert in the states and they perform "belsen was a gas" (one of my fav pistol songs) He emphasises the laugh, funny with the lyrics to the song an all, whilst he was performing in front of possibly a fair few american jews.

This bloke new how to push buttons, they were a major influence on oasis, yet oasis were very much revered by popular culture, not by me though, I laughed and said this has been done before.

Wasn't that sid?
"You motherf**king twig cowboys" and he hit the guy with his bass after he copped a bottle in the mouth

The pistols go allright, personally fav songs are holidays in the sun and the power of anarchy in the uk is awesome. I had a mix cd on the other night while i was doing my homework and god save the queen was playing, so i was sititng there trying to do maths while the big "No future for you" was on. I found amusing at least :)
