are you kidding? what do you want?

for one I'm glad they haven't gone with the same old bands they trot out every year. The Saints are music history and seeing the original line-up will probably not happen again - ever. The Dirty Three are amazing live and a band we only get every 3 or 4 years here. The Finns will be great fun live. Plus there are some good young bands that kick arse.

great lineup thus far.

Shins and Dandy's, sounds pretty swell indeed. Have you heard the new Dandy's album Alex? It's not released yet but the torrent is floating around. It's pretty freaking awesome, btw.

Shins are confirmed for Falls, it was on the radio this morning. The Falls website server has been melted due to the heavy traffic...

Christ...Homebake lineup's get worse by the year

Oh I dunno I will see Wolfmother, SFK, Living End ( their great live..not my style though), COG , The dirty Three (good chill out beer drinking band) plus the Saints could be interesting or tragic.

The radio Birdmen fell into the tragic catagory when they played Homebake...whereis Hoodoo Gurus went oooorrrffff.

That f**king paul Mac and Ben Leee better watch out though :).

Yep Rob was tragic alright.
The hair , the dance .
Smallest crowd for any band all day.

It was sad.

Deniz is cooler than the lot of em.

If your going to any festival, i give you this advice: AVOID SOMTHING FOR KATE LIKE THE PLAGUE. There's no band better for ruining your day with a set full of boring, pretentious moaning - and chances are they'll be on just before somthing you really wanna see. This happened to me about 3 or 4 times now and i just can't stress how bad they are live...

I always find they are on when nothing else is on and you can't avoid them - they aren't even a very good live band in any case. Their early music was quite good but got boring very quickly...

The Hoodoo Guru's were awesome at homebake.
The Living End are worth going for, and the saints should be good. Might go this year.

Big Day Out update - official first announcement is October 5 on Triple J during Breakfast...

However apparently a member of Franz Ferdinand has said in an interview that he is "stoked to be playing along side of The White Stripes, Beck, & Iggy Pop and the Stooges."

No major shocks there I guess - maybe a little surprised that Beck is doing BDO.

Tix on sale 17 October 2005.
