Dragons Set to Lose Young Gun

The Dragons are set to lose one of their best junior talents to the NRL's new franchise, the Dolphins.Centre Jack Bostock is believed to have agreed to terms with the Dolphins on a lucrative three-year deal - good money for a kid from SG Ball.ButDolphins recruitment guru Peter O'Sullivan is a good judge of rising talent and believes Bostock will be worth the money. The 19-year-old scored three tries in the Steelers' SG Ball team's opening game of the season and has looked a real find this season.

Anybody know anything about him ?

Yep he is the 19 year old kid that sits behind Lomax (22), Suli (23), Feagai twins (21).

So evidently we are supposed to panic and offer some deal because Wayne evidently has his heart set on signing him.

Jack had a good year in SG Ball this season at centre.
He has struggled to hold down a position in previous years moving between the halves fullback and centre.
Each year we have about half a dozen good kids come through the juniors we wont keep them all.

Thanks George. Agreed, we won't keep them all. Just hope that we keep the best out of the bunch.

Walsh went backwards this year. Needs to work on his attitude and commitment in defence.

Named in the Raiders SG Ball squad.
Raiders raiding Dragons Schiller, Morkos and Walsh now, must be payback for all those years we kept on raiding them, i know we got Magone from them and also Jahream Lole Ngarima(souths) also the last few years as well..

Watching that highlights reel suggests that he has speed, strength and a pretty good side-step.
I mean, why would we want to keep anyone like that?!

We do seam to be producing a lot of backs & as stated we can’t keep them all. I know Schiller had family ties In Canberra, Schoupp & Saab are now established first graders yet even with those guys moving on we still can’t fit Max Feagai & Sloan in the team.

The question I have is, where are all the forward prospects? Seams that well has run dry…

Jayden Hunt got an award for the Dragons in reserve grade and he is a forward yet did not get much of a run so the forwards stocks may be but they can't edge past guys like Woods and Billy Burns because of the coach in FG. Hook prefers a guy with experience to be lazy on the field to get a run than an up an comer playing well in reserve grade.

Interestingly that squad also has Sean Trindall another group 7 / Illawarra junior. Actually came off the bench for Warilla’s first grade GF winning side.

gee there is actually a few Illawarra juniors in that squad:

Jack Piccirilli
Jaxon Lavender
Judd Stevenson

Are you the Mole? You put it in writing before him. Although I note that you didn’t use frenzy inducing sensationalism like that tool.

Could be wrong but pretty sure, apart from Walsh who is only 17 this year, the rest were 18 this year.

And none of them played SG ball (think Piccirilli/Lavender played Laurie Daley cup), so it’s not like they were the top rated Steelers junior’s (the better 18 year olds generally play up in ball)

They may kick on, but the Mole article is a bit of a beat up…
