Kevin hastings was on Sterlo on the couch ( i think ) & he was talking about his own mental health & suicidal thoughts he had been dealing with. Maybe seeing his father go through some tough times, has turned him into a angry man.
DCE is a wanker.
Hastings was not necessarily all at fault. DCE previously fell out with Stewart and Watmough with his smart arse attitude.
There is another side to the story with Manly considering suspending DCE too.
We need to remember DCE is a dick head as well.
Story below.
"It’s not the first time Cherry-Evans has fallen out with his teammates.
"DCE" famously fell foul of former stars Brett Stewart and Anthony Watmough, but emerged as the man the club wanted to build around.
The club has addressed the issues with Hastings, his manager and the Rugby League Players’ Association in an attempt to work through them, as well as provide welfare support.
But the relationship has broken down to such an extent that he won’t get a call up to the NRL side, despite the club’s injury and salary cap dramas.
Cherry-Evans cut an equally lonely figure as the last man off the training paddock at the Sea Eagles' Narrabeen headquarters on Thursday, staying behind to work on his goalkicking as the rest of his teammates wandered off earlier.
But the vexing issue of whether Manly players actually don't want to play with Hastings was no laughing matter.
Aked whether the Sea Eagles squad had made it clear they don't want to play with Hastings for the remainder of the season, winger Brad Parker stressed:
"That's NOT true. No, that's not true.
"Baz [Trent Barrett] has talked to us and it's not up to the playing [group] whatsoever, it's all up to Baz. He's talked about it and it's his decision
. We've talked about it and all we can do is play our best footy individually and as a team
Brad Parker
"I like Jackson, everyone likes Jackson, he's a good kid. I'm not going to talk about it too much more."
It was a sentiment quickly supported by Addin Fonua-Blake.
"That's definitely not the case [That Hastings teammates asked not to play with him]," Fonua-Blake said.
"We're all mates with Jackson and it's unfortunate what happened to him.
He's a good bloke.
To me, he's a good bloke.
I can't speak on behalf of anyone else, [but] I've found him really good and it's unfortunate what happened to him."
Cherry-Evans was at his peerless best in the Sea Eagles' record
54-point drubbing of Parramatta last month, yet he will be under even more scrutiny as Manly try to emerge from a mini funk which has seen them toppled by the Titans and Tigers.
"He's going to work even harder and lead us in the next game," Parker said.
