This off season has everything.

Hope the big fella is alright. Also hope it was just a one on one fair fight. There's been more than enough scandals and it's only just hit December.

Dane Cordner should go to jail for this. Teach him a lesson. Jacob Saifiti is a good man. Boyd Cordner would never get involved in this kind of behaviour.

Not good for Saifiti and a terrible thing to occur as you prepare for a new season. Hope he gets back on the park soon.
Bit of a blow for the Cordner family but I'm sure Boyd will take the bad press and any fallout on the chin..........

Will jake friend do the press conference for Boyd?

Hard luck for Jacob, although we don’t have a full story and may have deserved a smack but waking up with a fractured leg is a bit much even for someone who can’t seem to get out of bed without tearing or rupturing something.

Jacob probably isn't "well travelled"

Newcastle Knights player Jacob Saifiti was involved in an altercation in Hamilton on Sunday morning which resulted in him suffering a broken leg.

The incident occurred outside the Greenroof hotel.

Saifiti was involved in a verbal altercation with a patron which was broken up by security.

Security staff acted appropriately and effectively.

Subsequently, after Saifiti left the establishment, he and a man came together.

There was a push and shove which resulted in Saifiti suffering a punch.

Having fallen awkwardly as a result of the punch, Saifiti injured his leg and was transported to hospital by security staff.

The matter is now with the police.

Given the facts, Saifiti may be subject to disciplinary action taken by the Club at the appropriate time.

12hours plus of drinking, what could possibly go wrong? Good to see "professional" players taking care of their bodies.
