hey guys,
I picked this game up today and did not have high hopes for anything what so ever. i dident except the same voice actors, i dident expect anything too fancy, i dident even expect GREAT graphics. I was excited, Jak and Daxter being my favourite series developed of all time! Naughty Dog did wonders with the franchise and built an amazing story about how their world was formed, why Jak was born, who Jak really is and that the precursers are actually ottsels - with pants
, and even transformed the game from Action/Adventure type game to Combat racing game. Only Naughty Dog could do wonders like this!
Now when i heard a new Jak was on the cards, i was excited then let down. High Impact games had taken over, and i was worried. My fear of the worst has become reality. this game is TERRIBLE! There is NOTHING great about this game. They dive straight into the action and have the worst control combo i have ever seen. it does not flow and does not play well. I could not stand the graphics, they looked so, flat. no depth to any expression at all and the mouths did not flow with the sound they were 'talking'. To make matters worse, they dont help the player in the slightest with J and D history. If you are a nut like me you would know the story quite well, and would be disappointed with what you see, but for brand new players to this franchise would be asking alot of questions. "What is Eco?, Why is it sooo important? Why does he change to a freaky dude, What is with the weasel, why do they have big ears? why dosent it look like earth, when its the 'world'!" the list is endless and painful. To put it simply, High Impact games have simply, well, destroyed the brilliant and intriguing story of J and D.
