There has been a lot happening in Jamaica already this year. Picking up from April, the latest headlines are:

Under 23's Championship
The inaugural Jamaica U23s Championship has been won by the Washington Blvd Bulls. The new age group Championship featured three teams, the Bulls, St. Catherine OB Thundercats and Duhaney Park Red Sharks. Each team played each other in a round robin, before the Bulls faced the Thundercats in the Final. St Bess Sledgehammers and Portmore RL were hoping to enter, but instead decided to build for the next season.

High Schools Championship
U14's Boys : Calabar High defeated BB Coke High 8 - 4 in the Final to win their 6th title
U16's Boys : Cedar Grove High defeated Cedar Grove Academy 14 - 2
Girls : BB Coke High won the round-robin tournament featuring Norman Manley High and Cedar Grove Academy

Easter Nines:
Duhaney Park Red Sharks narrowly defeated West Kingston Hyenas 16-12 to win the Men's title. Five clubs took part in the Men's tournament. In the Women's the Bulls defeated the Sledgehammers 12 - 0. Three clubs took part in the Women's tournament.

INTERCOL Nines:
Excelsior Community College Eagles have defeated the University of West Indies Pelicans 18-4 in the Nines Final. Six Universities took part in the tournament including the Caribbean Maritime University Spartans, UTECH Knights, Mico University Crocs and Brown's Town Community College.

Men's National Club Championship
Fixtures for the opening round of the 2024 Men's Championship:
St Catherine OB Thundercats vs West Kingston Hyenas Rugby League
Jamaica Defence Forces vs Red Sharks
Portmore Rugby League Club vs Liguanea Dragons
St Bess Sledge Hammers RL vs Washington Bulls (Postponed)

The competition will have seven rounds, with each club playing each other once before the Finals. This is the first time the Thundercats & Slegdehammers have joined the NCC.
