Hey di__o, you can add the ld,

He walked out of Parramatta because he could see they weren't going anywhere with Smith as coach. Now there is a mass exudus and you still haven't got a premiership trophy and by the looks of it, it's going to be a long wait.

Jamie Lyon won't walk away from another contract, he is now a very mature player. He has been the consumate professional during his two years in England.

Manly are without any doubt signing the world's best centre. He is also kicking goals like a mean mofo too, 12 from 12 at the weekend and he rarely misses.

Look after him for a few years and we'll have him back!

Has anyone ever walked along the beautiful sandy beaches of Manly, Curl Curl, Harbord etc? If not - try it. I live there.

Then take a leisurely walk around Parramatta. If you do so without getting mugged, try and determine why one WOULDN'T want to break a contract to get out of that absolute crap hole.

I went to watch us (unfortunately get beaten) in that Parra semi final last year, and as I approached the ground, I was stunned by the lack of beer bottles that had found bins (not talking in the stadium either) - they appeared to be holding up almost every telegraph pole around the place, the abundance of needles lying around the park area where the children play etc.

If we get illegal immigrants, we shouldn't send them to unfortunate camps for punishment, I'm sure Parramatta have adequate rental property available.

Speaking of lyons. After reading a few parra threads is there any fear for lyons safety when manly play parra at parra. SCUBA you are best placed to anwser. Would manly consider resting lyons that day due to real safety conserns

Nup, he'll play in that game for sure. There is 0% of such a thing eventuating. The only way he'll miss it is if he's injured. He knows he's gonna cop it, and if I was a Parra supporter, I'd being giving him sh*t as well, but he's gotta focus on Round 1 not Round 22 or whenever we play them at Parra Stadium. I'd say there'd be increased security at that game as well. :? He'll be fine.

I have not made a good impression here, I would leave as well Smith was a hopeless coach. I was glad when he left no one else he did us the favour, I wish lyons well, he has to do what is the est for him, no one else.

No, no Echo - no probs dude - your opinion is valid, and I'm sure you won't get shot down for it.

My beef is not about Parra the club, or it's supporters....but a complaint about the demographic. I SERIOUSLY went to that final, and found needles where children play, a mattress with someone sleeping on it on the street (about 2 minutes walk to the ground), and beer bottles displayed like Christmas lights.

So nothing against Parramatta Eels, their coaches (former / past) etc. I ask you this:-

Would YOU rather work at Parramatta, looking at what I have described below, or say Long Reef's rolling hills against an ocean backdrop.

I'm sure you'd want to break a contract, and work out here as well !!! So that's the relevance of my post dude. Not an attack on you guys.

Glenn Hall recently had an interview where he mentioned "the beaches" vibe, and how it's so fantastic to anything else. He has played at both Souths, The Roosters and now at Manly - nothing compares to the beautiful Northern Beaches in his books - and frankly, I would have to agree.

Ryan I have been to the stadium plenty of times as you would expect, and never seen anything like you mentioned, and I am well aware that they rake the sand at many a beach, including Manly beach for needles in the mornings for needles, so nobody will get injured. So I dont understand your beef, this is about Lyon, I was not a supporter when all this blew up, so I only know what I'm told, personally I dont mind what he does, his choice, I wont bag him. What I have seen he is good, but Im curious what he will be like, backout in Oz.
