As for why they were on that side, and unable to be persuaded to agree with the vast majority of their peers, I can only speculate

my speculation is they’re likely unreasonable he-man pieces of shit, like you. Our jury system can’t eliminate all you from the jury pool but thankfully have processes in place so a vast majority of people applying common sense are able to override 1-2 rouge jurists and deliver justice.
