Pacers add European star Jasikevicius to deep squad By CLIFF BRUNT, Associated Press Writer
July 25, 2005 INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- European star Sarunas Jasikevicius preferred a chance to go for an NBA title with the Indiana Pacers over an opportunity to play alongside one of his best friends with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The 29-year-old point guard, who won three consecutive Euroleague championships, agreed to a three-year deal with the Pacers, his agent, Doug Neustadt, said Monday.

Hes a very impressive player. I remember him being outstanding at the 2004 Olympics. He will definently be a great addition to Indiana, i was kinda hoping Utah would get him though.

He's got no D, and thats been the scout reoprt on him from the NBA for many a year, which is why no one showed much interest.

He's a super player offensively however and he'll be a great buy for Indiana as backup to Tinsley.

Might struggle with the range of the 3 pt line in the nba, but I doubt it, dropping bombs from everywhere over in europe.

He's coming off 3 successive titles in europe with 3 different teams, so he's definitley the best europe has to offer.
