Jason Ferris?

There is a lot of talk around that we are in desperate need for 5/8.. Jason Ferris as i know isnt playing for any NRL club and the last i heard he was playing in Wollongong..
He was a bit injury prone when he played for us but the games he did play he was alright.. He wasn't a flashy player, but thats not what we need when we have Kimmorley.. He was solid, he could kick some goals and he could also play hooker and halfback.. He also wouldnt cost a fortune.. Maybe pick him up on match payments and give him a run and see how he goes.. He wasnt to bad when he played for Manly..
Im not saying he is going to be the solution, but it wouldnt hurt to give him a run and see how he goes..

The Dragons tried to get him just after Firman was injured. His club wouldn't release him then and I doubt they would for us. Not that we should go for him anyway.

Jason Ferris is captain/coach of Collegians in Wollongong.
The Dragons actually tried to poach him this year to cover for Trent Barrett and Brett Firman, but Collegians knocked that idea on the head pretty quickly.

I don't think he's what we are looking for.
Greg Bird is back in 3 weeks, and I bet he's a better player after the 10 weeks he's spent doing not much on weekends! I'm happy to give him a go for the rest of the year, with the view of Aitken making the grade in a year or two.
