He was out for a while with an injury at the start of this year's England comp. But now he's killing it over here for Hull.

But all the talk is that this is definitely his last year in England, but I thought he was just going to retire?

If we have as much spending money as they say then I hope we are one of those teams to make an offer.

Everyone one bags the hell out of our current coach and players for not getting us a premiership.....in the few years before 2001 when Smith and co. were with Parra, we were in the position to get to the GF and we fell apart in a few games.

I don't really believe in laying blame with any particular person, BUT I think in those games that we fell apart in the senior players needed to step and and steady the ship when we started to struggle late in the games....guys like Smith, Pay, Dymock were the senior players.

I guess my point is that people are oh so keen to drag Brian Smith down for failing to bring us a premiership, yet others who could have played a big part in doing that but didn't are praised and wanted back at the club.

Good call Strider. Smith cost us the grand final qualifier against Melbourne when he held the ball too long and got smashed by winger with the line wide open.

I am not trying to single out incidents that cost us - just saying that the senior guys maybe could have helped the side be more composed when the heat was on in those games.

I find it unfair that some single out Brian for us not getting a permiership, but others who played a part in the strong years we had are seen in such a good light.
