you can pretty much deem 2007 as Muzz’s last year coaching NQ. Not gonna go into details but he’d lost the locker room in the offseason of 2008.

Which is unfortunate. That we even got to a preliminary in 2007 was a miracle when so many good players were on the sidelines injured.

Some bright LU resident started a thread a few years back about "what a dud" he was.

This was at the ripe old age of 19, mind you.

I started one last year that said he is a cat. Runs at smaller guys. I hate this type of sportsperson. He is a nice guy though.

By that 10th year of his contract it will be massive unders for most players, let-alone him. Cowboys are financial management geniuses.

There's gotta be more to it than $10M over 10 years. $1M a season? Woods and Klemmer were nearing that, Shannon Boyd too now. If Lolo was off contract he'd be fielding ridiculous offers much more than $1M.

I dunno, 10 years of such an income is pretty lucrative.
I dare say he has TPAs as well, but 10 years is a big risk for Cowboys and they are getting a big reward for that risk.

Matt Bowen was on another level that year. Was the best player in the competition until he injured his knee against the Dogs.
It then got grown in a lab on the opposite side of the country and put back in later. Haven't heard of that being done since after ty williams was first.

Exactly. Everybody on here has got to stop obsessing about the Jason Taumalolo 10 year 10 million contract. Terry Kennedy was asked about it and he said he heard from sources the player has an opt out clause here and the team had an opt out clause there. The problem is a lot on this forum has taken it on face value that its a 10 year contract which the player and club are locked into without any clauses.

Future Immortal.

He's absolutely that good and the only reason he hasn't been mentioned as such in the media is the borderline anti running forward bias when it comes to measuring greatness.

Every one loves a great playmaker and a silky smooth fullback, but credit where it's due: Lolo is as unique a talent as a Billy Slater or Cameron Smith.

You are not the only one. Matty Johns has predicted Taumalolo will be an immortal at the end of his career. The question remains the way Taumalolo plays the games can he keep producing in his thirties. Its probably harder considering forwards rely on their physical attributes too some extent. The halves can lose a step but can still go into the bag tricks and still be effective.

He'll lose a step or 2 of speed but it isn't what he totally relies on. In terms of power and strength Gal's numbers in the gym have been up the more he approaches 40 instead of the other way round.

With how the game has evolved there is a chance that there will be another 3 or 4 of him running in the game by the time he retires though
