I'm stunned. This is one hell of a basket case club. You really have to question the motives of management.
Flannagan must resign immediately - it's all happening under his watch.
DeBelin is by far our best player.
And it's reported it's for $350K a year. Best value player in the game. Parra are building smartly.

I mean, if this means players like Halangahu get a run now, I'm all for this. But if we replace him with a plodder..than it probably doesn't make sense.

SO Many angles to the JDB News and many questions remain unanswered
Were the Dragons owed more loyalty from the player who stood by him during his Court case dramas ?
Was JDB actually offered a contract at least for 26 with option ?
Is the Coach clearing the decks for a major signing ie P Haas ?
If not PRESSURE right on the Coach releasing our best forward in the past few years
Are our juniors up for the challenge of Week to Week NRL ie
Couchmans , Stewart , Egan , LPT etc etc
Pressure back on the Flanagans as another Club Stalwart released
Whisper Tyson Frizzell heading back to Sydney .Would never happen at Dragons if JBD was still there
The timing of this announcement is puzzling esp as we face the Eels on Saturday ..
With all this Really hope there is Light at the end of the Tunnel , because all i can see is A Train Wreck ..
Cant wait for the Flanno Pressor ................

The Club knows what they are doing - or do they? If JDB goes it will be a sad thing but as with so many players money is the key and he would have had to pay his solicitors heaps to help him with his case back in 2019 - 2021. He is the last player to have played under Wayne Bennett to be "leaving" the Dragons. He has always put in with his games for the Dragons and of course loves the Club. While he has been good for us, he has not been able to win a premiership at the Dragons.

I'm expecting the Club to be making many changes to its squad in 2026 - big changes which I hope for the better. It's the only way. Not only with the players but with the buffoons who are not doing a good job hiring and firing and retaining players and not doing their coaching jobs needed to win games. No need to mention names.

Remember, it is the Club you follow and not the player(s). We will see many changes is what I think.

Good luck to JDB if he goes and thanks for your long period of your service to the Club and for us fans.

I have no problem with JDB leaving , just hope that we do have some plan in place to ensure our strong list of developing forwards will be gradually and successfully transitioned into the NRL.
In all honesty I am of the strong belief that JDB does owe the Dragons big time for the support they afforded him in the past *
I wish him all the best at the Eels and have no bad feelings in him leaving.
The Dragons will be ok in the future and I have no idea why all the negative rhetoric.

I was really hoping for some positive signing news before June 30… instead, we lose one of our most consistent forwards in Jack de Belin.

Meanwhile, we’re still hanging onto guys like Lawrie, Ravalawa, etc.—players who haven’t really delivered, and yet somehow remain locked into our squad.

Other clubs are out there making smart moves and building for the future. What exactly are we doing?

JDB might not be a gamebreaker, but he gave everything every week. Losing him, and still not bringing anyone decent in, just feels like we’re going backwards.

Starting to seriously wonder if I’m following the wrong team...

Everyone sooks about signing old players but then an old player leaves and everyone’s slitting their wrists.
Personally I’m glad he won’t be the guy who breaks Hornby’s record. He’s not worthy.
We sook about signing old players because after they arrive - most play poorly. De Belin on the other hand is currently playing some of the best football in his life.
