Jennings or Morris

The more i see of Josh Morris the more i believe nsw should be getting his brother into the team as well probably at the expense of michael jennings.

I don't know what it is about Jennings that has captured the imagination so much,he goes missing for long periods in origin, knock williams all you want but at least we knew where he was and what he was doing. Jennings just seemed comtent to watch the game go by him,he's a walking inury and that's not the type of player you need for origin. The morris boys are as quick as you need to be,stronger and better defensively ,plus they'll have the opposition confused over which side of the field they're on !

Brett Morris isn't really a centre though, more a winger/fullback. He'd be a better option than the Wolfman but not Jennings.

They also have a completely different style of play, I'm sure you would be able to figure out which is which, lol

Brett Morris should have been there...but for Williams. Next year should be

1. Stewart
2. Hayne
3. Jennings/Idris
4. J Morris
5. B Morris

That backline is the only one that will go close to matching the QLD backline.

Pretty tough to judge Jennings on his 2 origin performances, he played the majority of both with an injury...

When Gidley was in doubt, the move should've been made to look at:

1 - Jarryd Hayne
2 - Josh Morris
3 - Brett Morris
4 - Michael Jennings
5 - Anyone but Teenwolf

NSW went well with the combination of Ennis/Kimmorley, the two brothers would've been dynamic as well.

Hayne from fullback - scary good when returning.

Swap Brett and Josh around.

He has gone missing for large parts of the games because he has been playing injured. He was limping throughout the entire third game.

It was hard for us not to know where he was, QLD certainly did and he single handedly kept them in the game, jennings wasn't the one who gifted QLD their 1st try and then got palmed off like a lil B!tch by Inglis the rest of the night

Brett Morris has to be there next year if he keeps his good form from this year, amazing winger. Also, I think they should get Chris Lawrence there, speed to burn, strong defence and very unselfish (won't botch a try by going himself when his winger has a better chance of scoring, there's a reason Tuiaki has so many tries this year).

I'd take Jennings, he has the "it" factor and I believe he's incredibly effective down the left hand side of the field.

Josh Morris is a good all-round talent but Jennings is something special.

My backline for '10
1. Brett Stewart
2. Jarryd Hayne
3. Michael Jennings
4. Jamal Idris
5. Joel Monaghan

Fair call.

Another player pundits seem to be forgetting is Chris Lawrence. If he can stay on the field long enough I believe he'd give Jennings enough competition for that left hand side centre position.

Lawrence might not have the freakish ability ball in hand that Jennings has, but in terms of speed, you aren't losing anything going from Jennings to Lawrence. Lawrence however is the better defender of the two. Either way, you've got a top quality footballer. He'd probably have been there in game 1 for McManus had he not gotten injured.

my backline next year would be

1. Gidley
2. Hayne
3. Jennings
4. J. Morris
5. B. Morris
6. Barrett (Captain)
7. Kimmorley

the morris boys have played in the same footy side since juniors up untill this year!!! they have a great understanding of eachother (almost 15 yrs of footy understanding) and i think NSW should use this to their advantage next series!!!!

i think Jennings will be better next year and hopefully wont be playing injured.

Hayne will turn in yet another stellar origin series!!!

Gidley will be solid at fullback

and unless Mullen is firing around origin time i think barrett and kimmorley are the old heads needed to steer that young backline around

for the forwards i honestly think they need Hindmarsh and maybe andrew ryan (one start and one on the bench) to have a couple of old heads helping the forwards!!!

Jennings or Morris will have to fight it out for one spot. Chris Lawrence is better then both of them and will be 1st choice center next year.
