Jets and Canberra

Righto, I've been away for a while. Good to see that things are still the same...

So who will be heading down to Royal and Ancient Henson Park this weekend for the crunch game against the Faiders? I'll be there with bells on along with Mr Carpet Clive.

Really hope that the boys can pull this one out of the bag and roll the politicians and there will be a big crowd to cheer the boys in blue on.

UP THE MIGHTY BLUE BAGS!

I told the missus you were dead given your absence! I have 2 assignments due next week so if I can get some serious study done tonight and tomorrow I should be there. Who am I kidding I'll be there!

Come on Jets !!!! We need the two point s !!! Canberra have been a tough side to beat. My mate from work who is their assistant coach ( and ex reserve and first grade player ) is giving me no hints either. GO THE BAGS !!!!!

But knowing the raiders they will go for their usual high ball kick with runners attackin the defence in the corner area.

I could not make the game. It's killing me being so far away. Now I know how Greg must feel up there in Queensland.

How did we play NBB. I heard we played ordinary in the second half and did not go on with it.

That's close to it. Not the best second half but such a big first half meant we did enough. I am told Canberra had several Flegg players in their team which probbaly neutralised the effect of the NRL players.

In the first half I was most impressed with our goal line defence. We were tested several times by a Canberra team that was not afraid to vary their attack. To restrict them to one try (albeit a soft one) was a good performance.

I thought Newtown dropped a lot of ball but on the plus side, a lot of our attacking moves stuck. As far as scoring points goes, our team has a lot of ability but the passes do not always stick. Fortunately we had a lot of ball and we had enough passes sticking for us to build and maintain good lead.

Yeah I heard the penalty count was far in our favour !!?? heaps of ball. But still the best result against a usually strong canberra side we have achieved since yr 2000 for sure. thanks Jeffles.
