Sorry to bring this up again Jets supporters. I asked in the sharks forum the time schedule for the games on Saturday and got it from 2 True Blues I think but it would be easier for me to look in this forum for the times on Saturday. So please could someone post in here the game schedule for Saturday because 4 of us will be there to cheer on all Jets teams. Thanks. Also the position of the hill bbq so I can meet and greet all.

Get there early for the local derby. Newtown Jetettes v Redfern All Blacks!! I was surprised by the quality and skill displayed by some players in the Women's Rugby League.

I watched them play in their first game several weeks ago at Henson. They must have improved cause was talking ( as usual ) from an eyewitness perspective.

If they havent improved, that was a big call Jeffles...

I know you were there - I saw you!

The first game we had 12 girls playing. It was always going to be tough. The second game v Sydney Bulls at Redfern Oval, they had 20.

There is a group of girls from Canberra that play for us. They were there for the second match and not the first. I'm not saying that their skill made us win the second time - more the fact that there were more so the girls don't become tired so quickly. If we get a full 17 week in week out we will match it with any side in the comp!

Sydenham Station I'm led to believe ImaSharkie. 10 minute walk or a cab from there. Wish I was there. Bit hard though from the Gold Coast.

Up Newtown!

Jets won 25 to 18. were leading 24 to 18 with a couple of minutes left then HALLY kicked a field goal. Absolute top game by the boys. With STOSIC and LOO LOO out, and also Cliff and Thommo we still beat them in a very close, and tough hardhitting game.

Thommas GEMMEL stepped up from Jim Beam cup and held his own plus some as usual. Plenty of depth in Jim Beam cup.

The beam boys won 34 to 14 against second placed Entrance. Alf DUNCAN was in everything as usual and young STOSIC scored a try and set several up. Alf went off, and can easily hold his own in Prem/league. At one stage they were leading 14 to something, and we kept them scoreless in the second half.

What a day, and it was the largest crowd I have seen at Henson for ages.

BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME, and the boys delivered in both games. ( although unfortunately the Jetettes got slaughtered. )

Not sure but I think the ground announcer said Parra had a bye without the points, and that Jets are now equal 1st place, with a 4 point buffer between the Rooters in second/third.

GO THE BLUEBAGS.....

What a disgrace the sydney transport system is. Catch a train to Sydenham all 5 of us . Station master says no taxi rank go outside and hail one down (hahahaha) what a joke. Finally find the taxi rank about 50 metres from the station. Half hour later a cab finally comes after a phone call.
Me to taxi driver= take us to Henson Park
Taxi driver= never heard of it.
Me= ring your base and get an address
taxi driver= NO
f**k ME
Get train to Redfern
find platform for newtown
uhhh no train to newtown have to catch a bus
F*ck this
get on train and come back to miranda and go shopping
waste of half a day
Give me Queensland taxi and trains anyday.

Am I pissed off..................YES

Geez you had a bad day.

Henson Park is a 20 minute walk from Sydenham Station along Sydenham Road. The ground is just off Sydenam Rd in Centennial St. All that time you were at the cab rank you could've walked there.

Sydney's transport isn't that bad. You just had bad luck with the staff.

Missed a bloody good day though.

That sucks mate. So close yet so far away. Atleast you got to see the Sharks win on Friday night. Shame you didnt have a translater on hand for the cab driver.

Or a street directory.....

That was our lasr home game for five weeks now too. We are still undefeated at Henson this season. The boys are going off....

Crowd was about 2000 I reckon, though they sounded more in the last ten minutes.

The crowd looked very good onthe hill from my vantage point. I should bring a camera to games!

Loved the boys on the hill chanting "Chhriiiiiiiiissss" "Chrriiiiiiiisss to Mr Walker.
