I have been trying to find out some more about this season's Jets Captain, Jimmy ANDERSEN.

Can anyone enlighten me as to where he has played prior to this. ??

From what I have seen of the bloke he gives a lot for the jersey on the field. Has he got any NRL experience etc ??

I never seem to here much about him, yet he was made the team Captain. !?? ( Obviously for a reason ! )

Brief outline on him in the players gallery on the jets site 2TB. Says he is an ex cowboy. I don't personally recall him as being in the cowboys. Possibly played QLD cup last year for the feeder club.

Yeah thanks Greg. I went there and saw that mate. Not much info is there really.

Was just thinking that if they gave him the captaincy there must have been a reason, as some other jets who have played with us longer may have been considered etc !? ( Mick PAEA etc ).

Figured he must have some 'past' link to the jets , or maybe captained a ' good ' side previously etc in Super league or something . ???

I would be interested to findout some more Greg.

Jimmy went to school in Townsville.A local product.Played Queensland and Australian schoolboys in 2004 with the likes of Benji Marshall.K Hunt,D Collis,F Metao,H Le Strange,etc.He played for the Young Guns in the Qland cup whilst under contract to the cowboys from 2005 to 2007.
