Great concept. Will end up being 20 000 more Aussie Hip Hop/electro/indie/folk bands, three punk bands and a metal band though

The unearthed concept is not a bad one by any stretch, in that it provides an outlet for aspiring young musicians. Yet I feel that it is exposing young bands to the limelight before their time.

Perhaps it is better for musicians to earn their stripes playing on the road, in front of small crowds, for poor pay and honing their craft.

It just seems a bit of an easy leg-up for some favourites of the Triple J crew. I'm sure their are a number of bands that would have liked the help the unearthed bands have had.
