$55 a month extra for the 4K channel!?

My wife and I are in the process of moving to Newwy for a new job - I’ve convinced her that with the money we’ll be saving from less socialising to let me get Foxtel.

I’m considering just buying the Foxtel Now box and signing up for the streaming service. They always find a way to charge you more with the subscription box.

yep, I inquired via the chat line and my response was "lol, not interested thank you for your time"

I already have the latest IQ box but $55 a month is just ridiculous, we really need another pay TV provider to stop these arsewipes monopolising

Young Sutherland got 5 wickets for Vic-Tardia

Clearly talented, but....Given who his dad is and the brown noser we have in the Aussie coaching job, how long before he gets a way too early Aussie selection thrown his way?

Surprised he wasn’t given a spot in the tour if the UAE...

Good to see a Swepson make some runs, but damn I'd love it if he was taking a bag full of wickets though.

Maxie still in the dog house with his failure to bring up the 3 figures. Under JL if it's not a century, it might as well be a duck.

100% agree with you.

As much as CA have stuffed up the structure of the tournament and have pretty much confined it to the scrapheap, it's great to watch some domestic cricket on tv before the conclusion of the footy season. I guess this is one of the positives of Ch9 no longer televising cricket: last season, they couldn't be half-arsed to televise any of the JLT Cup matches even when they had the broadcasting rights. So typical of Ch9.

Grounds like North Sydney Oval would still get very good crowds (like they did during the Mercantile Mutual/ING Cup days) on Sunday afternoons if the tournament organisers/tv networks spent a very small fraction in promotion and advertising.

Gee, how poor is Handscomb going.......
captain Peter Neville out for the blues, suffered broken thumb batting in the nets
Kurtis Patterson new skipper
Jay Lenton the keeper

www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/24717438/broken-thumb-rules-nsw-captain-peter-nevill-one-day-cup

Pretty much nothing has gone right for Nevill nor Handscomb since being dropped from the test team.

We are gunning for KFC dominance.

......as well as obesity and type 2 diabetes.

We need to get back to integrating the ODI comp into the shield comp. Maybe play the odi game first then the shield game on the days after.
They could still do this pre-season thing as an intro and continue it on.
We were kings of the world for years with that system in place. Undefeated in two straight world cups.

I am all for integrating both competitions. It worked fine once. No reason why it wont again.

As much as I miss the days when the domestic one-day comp was integrated into the Shield comp (back when there was no T20), it will never happen now that the BBL is CA's cash cow and with the BBL being extended to a full home-and-away format, there's simply no time in the schedule to accommodate that preference whilst no state cricket is allowed during the BBL season. With matches before October and after February, you have the issue of ground availability: most cricket grounds also host AFL matches (and sometimes soccer/rugby league/rugby union), and last season QLD had to move their Shield final away from the Gabba so it could be prepared for the upcoming AFL season.

CA has whittled down this ODD tournament more each year. Three games? May not have it at all. There is one upside to this. The shortened ODD will allow for more red ball games prep for the India Test series.

Remember when Australia played 3 ODIs/1 T20 match vs Sri Lanka as 'preparation' in the lead-up to the 2010/11 Ashes? We all know how that turned out.....
