I don't think many of us Canberra fans are concerned with as much of his performances, as the same could be said for nearly every other player. All bar a few are in sh*t form, and Joel Thompson is also in that boat.
The thing more Canberra fans are concerned is, is with his decisions when we are in attack. He is a good individual player and is devastating on the right edge, when in form, but he does sometimes stunt our attack. He tends to hog the ball and attempt to go on his own, when the pass to Ferguson is a much better option.
I just hope Furner is reminding him of this, as sometimes it is costing us.
I do agree, as well, that in the long run, he is better off in the back row, but for now we have no suitable replacements for him in the backline. Reece Robinson, Drury Low, David Milne, James Stuart etc. I don't think would be beneficial for the team.
