Great boxer in his day.

He was inducted into the World Boxing Hall of Fame in Los Angeles in 1997. In 1991 he was badly injured when hit by a car outside Sydney's Warwick Farm racecourse, which resulted in horrific injuries and sustained Acquired Brain Injury and a stroke.

Sincere condolences to family and friends and R.I.P. Johnny.

He was a technical boxer that would beat you on points and would hardly get hit ..... R.I.P .....
He was just that Illusion , so precise in his technique , a true craftsman of his sport . Although he certainly had weathered a few bloodbaths , yet still came out the victor.
