Katich is assured of a place in the side, unlike some of the fringe NSW youngsters who might think they are a little more qualified for a spot in the team. Hit and giggle it might be at the moment, but what's the betting it doesn't stay that way. It started to take off well in grade cricket in Newcastle last year and will be stronger this year. No doubting Johns playing will boost the crowd and interest, I'm still betting some players wont be impressed.Burwood said:Katich has asked him to play in the final on 13th Jan if they get through so players can't be too upset about Johns playing. It is still only considered a hit and giggle version of the game at the moment so getting somebody of Johns' stature to promote the game in Newcastle should really boost its appeal.
