The Newcastle Knights will be making an announcement at 4pm this afternoon regarding Andrew Johns. No word on what it's about but Sportstab have suspended all betting on the Knights.

I think he is gone for 2003.

As the great and often idiotic Paul Vautin says:

    "The Knights are gonnnnnnnnnnnnne!"

If thats the case, who would be favourite for the number 7 jersey when the Roos play us?

Does this clear the way for Ando to pick his bum chum at scrum half?

Sherwin should be the halfback but Kimmorley could also be played there

but Sherwin would be the obvious choice!

Sherwin or Gower should get a run ahead of Kimmorley.

How long till the Qld people push for Berrigan to get a crack

Have to agree with you on that call, it has to be Sherwin who gets the nod.

    Season over for Johns!

Australian and Newcastle Knights captain Andrew Johns has been ruled out for the rest of the season, including the Kangaroo tour, with a neck injury.

The injury occurred earlier in the year, but was made worse during the Knights' recent match against Manly in Newcastle.

Johns played the following week against the Cowboys in Townsville, but the injury has not responded well to treatment.

Johns received medical advice, advising him to miss football for the rest of the year, including the end of season Kangaroo tour.

The news comes as a body blow to the Newcastle Knights, who are fighting to remain in contention for the end of season play-offs.

    Firman should be the halfback

After Firman, Berrigan, then Sherwin, then 15 other players, then Kimmorley (although Kimmorley is in doubt for the season anyway)
