Good luck to him.

After we wasted most of his career with bad teams and coaching decisions around him, I have no real objection to him going elsewhere. Even if the manner of leaving wasn't good.

Johnson is accustomed to pressure but struggled under the weight of expectation at the Warriors, but that will only intensify while he is living and playing in the goldfish bowl environment of Sydney.
Yeah going from a one team, one country fish bowl to Cronulla.

The pressure if off to some degree.

He is not our only good player.

We do not expect MoM every single game.

Any bets he wears 6?

Are you in the camp of bad for the warriors but good for the kiwis??

Mr Angry will be pleased.
Indeed we got Johnson - elite player, golden boot winner, in his prime.

You kept Kearney, done nothing but be a good assistant coach and a great player.

You say potato I say Ferrari.

It’s wasn’t a choice between the two, they’re not even covered by the same cap.

Looking forward to the inevitable article from Rothmong criticising him for not running the ball and then the SJ backlash.

No guarantees. You paid your money and you take your chances.
How much they pay?
I always find it interesting how the dynamic of this would all work coming into a new team.
SJ has no Dally M awards, no minor premiership, no premiership, no world cup win.
Yet many players in the Sharks do and would be on less coin.
How the mentality of it all works.

Their team could look like this...

1. Matt Moylan
2. Sosaia Feki
3. Josh Dugan
4. Josh Morris
5. Sione Katoa
6. Shaun Johnson
7. Chad Townsend
8. Andrew Fifita
9. Jayden Brailey
10. Matt Prior
11. Wade Graham
12. Kurt Capewell
13. Paul Gallen

14. Braydon Trindall
15. Scott Bakuya
16. Ava Seumanufagai
17. ??

Team looks impressive already.

I heard Shaun is getting a million a season so whoever was going around saying he wasn't going to get that better think again.

Very solid looking team.
Salary cap breach?

SJ could have got $1 mill from a few clubs, just he is not worth $1 million on current form and consistency. (Neither are some others DCE and Hunt come to mind)

He has an impressive highlights package, but nothing to show for it.
Let's hope less travel and a better attitude helps him achieve something.

But the ease at which he walked out and into a new contract doesn't bode well for an ego check.

Only time will tell.

I agree in that he's not playing like a million dollar man but I can never hate on someone for being overpaid. Thats the employees problem. I honestly wish we were all overpaid for working hard in whatever we do for work.

According to the link below, Shaun is getting more than Townsend and Moylan.
