Jordan himself has already dismissed these rumors, and Shaq daqqy doesn't what him so i doubt it will happen.

i don't think they could afford to have both under the salary cap

i duno, lakers could afford shaq, kobe, malone and payton.

Teams don't have to stay 'under the cap', the cap only restricts teams from signing new players when they are over the cap, except for the exceptions and minimum contracts. Players can be traded by teams that are both over the cap depending on if their salaries match.

A couple of seasons ago the Knicks and JailBlazers had salary twice the value of the cap.
