Damien Cook aside, this guy is the most improved player in the comp.

I did not think he was a first grader at the start of the year. Always fast but extremely suspect in defence. He also always seemed like a winger to me.

This season....wow. Defensively, up with the best centres in the world. Inglis gave this guy a bit of a bath once.....Manu returned serve last night.

He'd have to be a contender for an NZ jersey too.....seems like a top guy and modest bloke. I wish him all the best.

You can have your Jesse Ramiens and your Bitch Will Chambers, even your Kallum Watkins. The fact is that Joey Manu is heading for the status of second best centre in the world -- ranked just behind his team mate Latrell Mitchell the GOAT.

What a wonderful guy, what a great specimen of manhood. Unquestionably part of the greatest centre pairing in history.

Admittedly at the start of the year, I wasn't convinced he was first grade material. I also thought that he would need to shift to the wing if he wanted to remain in first grade.

Oh how I've been proven wrong! He's been fantastic. Latrell owned 60% of the season to date, between them, but Manu has exploded in the latter half

Last year a big part of our issues were our defence on the edges due to both centres being suspect.

They have both improved tremendously in the last 12 months.

Joseph Manu has an Esan Marsters poster on his wall
Have the Kiwis ever had a better centre pairing than what these two could be?

They haven't had a gun centre in years and now they've got two.

1. RTS
2. Rapana
3. Marsters
4. Manu
5. Fusitua

Titillating.

Yep, when you consider their choices have usually been between SKD, Beale and Kata it's a pretty good pairing to have
