Josh Massoud was on 2ue talking about Tahu joining the Eels. Interestingly enough he mentioned that there may be some further recruitment news in the coming weeks. Apparently Hindmarsh' contract has been backloaded which has freed up some money under the salary cap.

He also mentioned that players such as Cordoba, Hauraki, Oake and Paulo who are viewed as first graders were actually on alot of money and the club was confident of moving on some of the players if not all of them.

John Gibbs also suggested that Cayless may be released.

It means that the a higher amount of his contract will be paid at at the end meaning we have more money to splash in his initial year of his contract because he isn't being paid as much.
ie. A $600K 3 year contract can be paid like 1st year - $100K, 2nd year - $200K and 3rd year - $300K
