NORTH Queensland Cowboys boss Peter Jourdain has been banned from the road for a month for drink driving.
Mr Jourdain appeared in Southport Magistrate's Court on the Gold Coast this morning, pleading guilty to drink driving after the Cowboys' win over Parramatta in Townsville on May 14.

Appearing in court with defence lawyer Jason Murakami, Mr Jourdain accepted the charge of driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.054.

Mr Murakami told the court his client was keeping count of his drinks on the night but made an error in judgment.

``He is embarrassed and remorseful for his actions,'' he said.

Magistrate George Wilkie banned Mr Jourdain from driving for a month and fined him $200.

Speaking to The Courier Mail, Mr Jourdain said he was extremely disappointed to land himself in trouble with the law.


``I'm very disappointed that it happened at all,'' he said.

``I thought that based on my counting (of drinks) that I would be right to drive and obviously I wasn't.

``I will make sure it never happens again.''
