He was always going to lose no matter what he would’ve contested
His file is black marked and the Dragons suffer again. At least the club notably Carr showed some ticker in showing how flawed this system has become irrespective of the Dragons current status within the so called hierarchy.
No matter the worm will turn!

I know this wont be a popular view but surely after all of this De Belin needs to realise his style of play and tackling has to change.People can whinge all they want about the refs, but if we keep doing the same thing and keep getting penalised for it, then the only losers are us. The refs/bunker arent going to change so we need to. We cant afford to have a player who's constantly getting penalised-De Belin now 100% fits this catagory- playing for us and costing us points. Its hard enough as it is for us to win this year without this constant problem with refs. Surely Carr or now Flanno needs to work with De Belin to get this sorted out. Ive watched this all year with us and it has to stop-constantly giving away penalties and losing all our advantage. Everyone bags JWH as a dog, but sadly this year De Belin has a similar record, not for dirty play but for just stupid decisions in tackling. Either way the result is the same-we keep losing players for dangerous play-and weve been doing it for years.Enough is enough

Yes maybe but how many weeks suspension has JWH had in the past 2 years

Clubs like Melbourne deliberately create these tackles, St George do it by accident, we get screwed as per usual, they don't, yawn, thats why I refuse to watch any games, I truly want the NRL to fold with a new organisation in place, the NRL has always been there for there for the original super league clubs!

I understand what you mean , but what i meant was that just like JWH, De Belin is now scrutinised much more because of his record. I know the suspensions arent the same, but we cant sit back and pretend we don’t have a problem. This has gone on long enough. Stupid penalties for stupid decisions. We can whinge about it or do something about it. We just have to do better or keep copping lousy penalties every time we get close to the opposition try line. And sadly our most penalised I believe is Jack. The scrutineering is going to continue until he changes his tackling style. Its sad but reality and its about time it was seen this way

JDB should have wore a Storm jersey to the judiciary. He would have been free to play this week. If he wore a Panthers one he would have copped the suspension but to be served later when he is injured. The judiciary is a joke. Good on Saints for challenging though. Was Kasey Badger or her husband in the panel at the judiciary?

I partially agree with Dragons Supporter. Jack may be a bit silly with penalties ie pulling an arm away when player rising to play the ball. I have little doubt that Jack receives extra scrutiny in games.

Conversely, Jack is a tireless forward who affects about 35 to 45 tackles every game. He has a big motor and carries the ball strongly and is a top notch ‘forwards to backs ’ link ball passer. My opinion he is the best passer of the ball in the team. Smooth n quick. He and Sua are the top class forwards In the pack.

I do think Jack was hard done by at the judiciary. What was put as a defence was very sensible. Jacks tackle wasn’t the ‘original hip drop’ style that started this whole hip drop tackle furore. Originally, that tackle had a tackler swinging around the back of an attacking player with ball, then leaning backwards while dropping the hips and sitting on the attacking players legs. We all watched Jacks tackle. He simply came in from the side in a standard tackle but clashed legs with MolIo. Jack lost footing but tackled in a continuous motion. Unfortunately, the winger splayed out his left leg in the tackle and got his foot momentarily caught under Jack. That’s what happened full stop. Watch any NRL game and many similar tackles happen regularly with ‘hips dropping’ as a low tackle effected, but no accidental splaying of legs etc. The hip drop interruption has expanded significantly.

It feels to me that there is a big bubble of ref, bunker, match review and judiciary in an echo chamber. It seems no one wants to over rule the other in a chain and cause friction? I wonder whether Kaley in the bunker ruled against Russel try because of the possible bubble? Annesley said it was a policy decision yet we all saw strong evidence of a fair try.The bunker is the refs investing other refs decisions isn’t it? It’s an interesting topic.

I believe it was Kasey Badger I did hear her name mentioned during the broadcast as they were dithering about the legality of both the try and tackle .

Tupoloto took the injury into the game. I was at the game and commented on the amount of strapping he had on his knee. It was dead set 2 rolls at least. I said to my family...." I hope we run at him, he has that much strapping his knee can't be right and he won't be able to run". Neck minute, he is I back play, getting re-strapped and forcing the badger to look at the tackle to show an injury which he took into the game. Saints get a player binned, he goes off with an injury, making out it only just happened. Dumb bunker

Blacksafe what a great pickup! Everyone has to look at this tackle it’s probably the most definitive and best example of a ‘classic’ hip drop I have ever seen.

Api K pulled off a great diving hip drop tackle to save a sure try by Ilias under the tigers goal posts. I’m totally nonplussed/ totally reeling with disbelief. Just google NRL tackle of the week. The NRL are advertising a classic hip drop as ‘tackle of the week’? API even sits down on Ilias foot at finish hahaha.

Have I over reacted. Good grief I don’t think so?

No @rasaint you’re not overreacting.
It’s a classic hip drop, especially the 2nd&3rd shots.
Have tried to post the footage/link but I’m a dumbo dinosaur lol.
