Typical. Hip drop rules changed on the run in 12 monthsJack has failed in his bid to have the charge downgraded, will miss 4 weeks.
Here comes the wooden spoon.
Exactly this. We have to punish players when there is a accidental injury somehow anyhow.Course he did Nana.
If the bloke wasn't injured it'd probably not of even gone on report.
Yes maybe but how many weeks suspension has JWH had in the past 2 yearsI know this wont be a popular view but surely after all of this De Belin needs to realise his style of play and tackling has to change.People can whinge all they want about the refs, but if we keep doing the same thing and keep getting penalised for it, then the only losers are us. The refs/bunker arent going to change so we need to. We cant afford to have a player who's constantly getting penalised-De Belin now 100% fits this catagory- playing for us and costing us points. Its hard enough as it is for us to win this year without this constant problem with refs. Surely Carr or now Flanno needs to work with De Belin to get this sorted out. Ive watched this all year with us and it has to stop-constantly giving away penalties and losing all our advantage. Everyone bags JWH as a dog, but sadly this year De Belin has a similar record, not for dirty play but for just stupid decisions in tackling. Either way the result is the same-we keep losing players for dangerous play-and weve been doing it for years.Enough is enough
What a total fcking joke!Jack has failed in his bid to have the charge downgraded, will miss 4 weeks.
Here comes the wooden spoon.
I understand what you mean , but what i meant was that just like JWH, De Belin is now scrutinised much more because of his record. I know the suspensions arent the same, but we cant sit back and pretend we don’t have a problem. This has gone on long enough. Stupid penalties for stupid decisions. We can whinge about it or do something about it. We just have to do better or keep copping lousy penalties every time we get close to the opposition try line. And sadly our most penalised I believe is Jack. The scrutineering is going to continue until he changes his tackling style. Its sad but reality and its about time it was seen this wayYes maybe but how many weeks suspension has JWH had in the past 2 years
I believe it was Kasey Badger I did hear her name mentioned during the broadcast as they were dithering about the legality of both the try and tackle .JDB should have wore a Storm jersey to the judiciary. He would have been free to play this week. If he wore a Panthers one he would have copped the suspension but to be served later when he is injured. The judiciary is a joke. Good on Saints for challenging though. Was Kasey Badger or her husband in the panel at the judiciary?
Where is this tackle shown blacksafake? If you haven’t seen it yet have a look at the NRL tackle of the week on their website.
It’s a deadset hip drop
On the NRL website as tackle of the week.Where is this tackle shown blacksafake?
No @rasaint you’re not overreacting.Blacksafe what a great pickup! Everyone has to look at this tackle it’s probably the most definitive and best example of a ‘classic’ hip drop I have ever seen.
Api K pulled off a great diving hip drop tackle to save a sure try by Ilias under the tigers goal posts. I’m totally nonplussed/ totally reeling with disbelief. Just google NRL tackle of the week. The NRL are advertising a classic hip drop as ‘tackle of the week’? API even sits down on Ilias foot at finish hahaha.
Have I over reacted. Good grief I don’t think so?
