June Stakes field
A final field of nine will line up on Saturday’s $75,000 Listed BigPond Sport June Stakes over 1100m at Randwick on Saturday.
Top weight in the race is the consistent stakes performer, Mustard from the John McNair stable who comes off a solid performance when second at his last run behind Silk And Money on a slow Randwick track a fortnight ago.
The Guy Walter-trained Vionetto has drawn the inside gate and will be ridden by the in-form Jamie Innes.
Honest performer, For Valour resumes from a short let-up and will attempt to win the race back to back. Last year For Valour charged down the outside to win the race in easy fashion.
Former Queensland galloper Gumnuts will be aiming to redeem himself after missing the start last time out before finishing sixth.
Other notable runners are the Pat Webster-trained Zarouk and Captain Bax from the Kris Lees stable.
